The Prophet said, working hard is noble and worth worship.
Working is still part of goodness and worship.
So work as hard as you can and be serious.
It is better to eat the results of your own efforts, rather than begging.
Message of the Prophet Muhammad
Meaning: From Rafi’ bin Khadij RA, he said: Once asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what is the best job?” He answered: “A person’s work with his own hands, and every good sale and purchase.” (HR Ahmad bin Hanbal).
The Prophet Muhammad SAW exemplified the noble habit of the Prophet Dawud, namely not liking to eat anything, unless it came from his own hands. And the Prophet Muhammad SAW also told about one of the glories of the Prophet Zakariya. Apart from being a prophet, Prophet Zakariya was known as a carpenter. Prophet Zakariya always made things from his own hands.
From Ja’far bin Muhammad, from his father, he said: Prophet Muhammad SAW used to go (alone) to the market and buy what his family needed. Then he was asked about this, so he said: “Jibril AS came to me and said: Whoever tries (works) for his family so that they avoid (begging) from other people, then he is on the path of Allah SWT.”
Miqdam bin Madiyakrib ra. said, the Messenger of Allah said, “No one eats better food than eating from the results of his own efforts. Indeed, the Prophet David used to eat from the results of his own efforts.”
(HR. Bukhari)
Jibril AS came to me and said: Whoever tries (works) for his family so that they avoid (begging) from other people, then he is on the path of Allah SWT. “
