Trees Can Walk Like Humans

(HR. Al-Hakim and Al-Baihaqi; Dala’ilun Nubuwwah, volume VI, p. 13)

Narrated by Ibn Umar bin Khattab ra, “In the past, we were with Muhammad Rasulullah on a journey and met a Bedouin Arab.

Then Muhammad Rasulullah rebuked him, “Would you like me to show you kindness?”

The Bedouin Arabs asked, “What is goodness?”

Muhammad Rasulullah answered, “You testify that there is no god but Allah, the Almighty and He has no partner, and Muhammad is His servant and messenger.”

“Are there any witnesses to what you said?” asked the Badui Arab.

“The witness is the tree,” answered Muhammad Rasulullah while calling a tree on the edge of the valley.

Suddenly the tree walked and came closer, then he stood in front of Muhammad Rasulullah.

Muhammad Rasulullah then asked the tree to testify. So the tree testified three times, that Muhammad Rasulullah was a messenger of Allah.

Then the tree returned to its original place. After seeing the miracle, the Badui Arab then converted to Islam. ***
