The Qur’an places Idris (AS) among those described as sabirun (steadfast and patient people). Patience helps us keep doing what is right, even when something feels difficult.

The Qur’an does not provide a detailed list of the subjects Idris (AS) studied. So we should not present later stories about particular inventions or skills as certain facts. Instead, we can use his example to encourage children to seek beneficial knowledge and use what they learn for good.
Raised to an Elevated Station
Allah says that He raised Idris (AS) to an elevated station. Scholars have explained this phrase in different ways. During the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ Night Journey and Ascension, he met Idris (AS) in the fourth heaven, as recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari.
