RAINWATER
Rainwater that falls from the sky is absolute water.
The absolute law of water is thahur, meaning ‘pure and purifying’.
Rainwater can be used for purification, such as performing ablution, bathing, or cleaning unclean objects.
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْم َتِهِۦ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً طَهُورًا
wa huwallażī arsalar-riyāḥa busyram baina yadai raḥmatih, wa anzalnā minas-samāi māan ṭahụrā
“And it is He who blows the wind (as) the bearer of good news before the arrival of His mercy (rain); and We sent down water from the sky very clean.” (al-Furqan [25]: 48)
